Social Work

ART SHOULD REACH EVERYONE.

Since 2015, Rafael has been committed to contributing to Projeto Surfar, a daycare and community initiative located in Morro da Tuca, Porto Alegre, Brazil — an underserved community internationally understood as a favela.

The purpose is simple:

to bring art, education and creative experiences into environments where access to culture and opportunities can be limited.

Rafael believes that creativity should never depend on a ZIP code, income or social background.

Through art workshops, English classes, educational activities, materials and meals, children are given opportunities to paint, learn, communicate, imagine and discover new ways of expressing themselves.

The relationship goes beyond financial donation.

Rafael personally participates through art and education, particularly by teaching and creating artistic experiences with the children.

RAFAELGUIM connects the collection directly to this work.

For every limited-edition artwork sold, US$5 is directed toward Projeto Surfar to help provide art materials, books, educational activities and food.

YOU COLLECT ART.
A CHILD GETS THE CHANCE TO CREATE IT.
